Random drunken rants

I did what now?

When thinking of a user name for this blog, I came up with the name "vicarious". Why, you might ask?

Well, let's look at the dictionary definition of vicarious:

  1. Felt or undergone as if one were taking part in the experience or feelings of another: read about mountain climbing and experienced vicarious thrills."
  2. Endured or done by one person substituting for another: vicarious punishment.

And, I suppose in some way that's pretty much the story of my life. At any rate, I often stop to think: "I did what now?"

Example? I think most of us know the feeling of going out for a night of heavy drinking and end up doing something stupid: Snog the wrong girl, say the wrong things, break something, etc. Me? I wake up the morning after a binge only to find out that last night I not only helped start, but also joined a heavy metal band entitled "Meatlovers". Having no skills in playing any instrument or using my voice in any constructive way, I naturally opted for the part of lead singer(!) .. 'Cause that's how I roll, I guess.

Now, as if joining a band wasn't enough, we also set out to write, compose and record our very first song entitled "Skyd dine børn!" (Shoot your kids) a 1 minute masterpiece featuring not only an intro and solo but also four verses and chorus. Wowsers!
Vicarious? Indeed!
