In your face, modern ethics!

Woo! Just woo! Most likely heading to bed in a few as I only managed to catch about two hours of sleep last night.. Even though I stuffed myself with natural remedies designed to make you sleepy.. Hmm..

Anyways, just wanted to state that even though I didn’t exactly ace my ethics exam, I didn’t exactly fail either. For those who understand the Danish grading scale, I got a 9.. For those who don’t. 9 s in the upper area of the “good” portion of the scale but below “superior” which is rated at 10 and above (quick lesson: scale runs 00, 03, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 with everything below 6 being “failed”.)

For those who care, the topic was Virtue Ethics (Woo, Aristoteles, baby!) which I somehow managed to relate to IT-ethic issues of violent computer games which by way of my professor led me into Utilitarianism, deontological views and philosophy in general.. Which is when things started to go not so well anymore I hate ethics, and I probably hate other branches of philosophy even more.. Oh well, it’s over now.

What now then? Well, for one.. School’s out for summer! This marked my final exam of the semester and I now have a few months to blow before starting up again in late August.. So what to do? Well, for starters I still have a job which I’ll try to put a few more hours into. I’m also going to Løkken with my best buddy Ricki for at least a few days.. Oh and I’ll probably spend more than a few days hanging out with friends, possibly partying a little as well Sitting here, listening to Quiet Riot – Bang Your Head and winding down after a tough exam, It all looks rather promising..
