Things are slowly shaping up for the next semester to come at Uni.. Of course one of the more important things that took part this weekend was the traditional re-opening of the Uboat, the campus bar. As oft times before, this event took place on a Thursday – and as oft times before, it ended in total disaster.. Or, well, it all pretty much begun in disaster and headed downhill from there, I guess.
Apparently, the official opening was at 10 AM.. On a Thursday.. Coz that’s how we f’ing roll in Kolding, bitches! Eh, anyways.. 10 AM it was. A time which pretty quickly for Louise, Dunkel, Lea and I got shifted to 11 AM because, well, 10 AM was just cruel. Of course, following a stunt which, whether you believe it or not, involved Louise and I laying awake all night talking, we further postponed our meeting till 12 which eventually became 12:30 when Louise and I finally met up with Dunkel and dropped on down to the Uboat, snatching up Lea along the way. Upon arriving, I quickly brought up a round of extra strong lagers for Dunkel and I to which Dunkel in return bought the two of us a round, meaning we had two beers each to kick things off.. Not that anybody really needed much encouragement. Both Louise, Dunkel and I were pretty much in a partying mood, as were the other regulars who had gathered for the occasion. The only one really limping along, as always, was Lea who, in her usual fashion, was doing more whining than drinking.
This concept of most of us older students throwing down pretty ridiculous amounts of alcohol at the crack of noon on a Thursday served to either impress or downright frighten the new students all depending on their creed. Dunkel and I, in the spirit of controversy, naturally took to upping the ante a little bit by ever now and then kneeling down for a chug off as new hordes of people arrived. An idea which seemed pretty good until around the time where the biggest rush-in occurred and we knelt down to finish an entire beer.. Only to realize that there was nobody behind the bar and that I had to jump in a and try to save the day. Lemme just say that keeping track of 50 odd people wanting to place orders, most of them using their favorite debit card is hard enough as it is. Doing it with a unit of alcohol rushing into your bloodstream to join its friend is even harder.
Recruiting the help of Louise, Jimmi and a few other helping hands, it all ended rather well.. or not too chaotic anyways.. And in some masochistic way, it was all good fun, too.. You’ll excuse me for introducing one of my customary blackouts here, but the joint effects of a stressful rush and the beers we were throwing down were kinda getting to me. On top of that, I received some rather upsetting news regarding my final stint at the Student House from Anders, news that were only made marginally more bearable, by Louise sneaking up and giving me a hug at just the right time.. Blah.. Anyways, I’m sure a lot of drunken fun was had by all.
At around 6 PM, Louise and I were both getting mighty hungry and decided, in some drunken state of logic, that the only reasonable thing to do would be to go out, grab a bus and head to Burger King.. A bold challenge which proved harder to execute than expected due to the fucked up bus schedules of Kolding City.. So, rather than sitting around for an hour to complete our quest, we decided to downscale our expectations and head to a downtown burger joint instead.. Which proved just as well because we actually got some kick-ass burgers down there.. While down there, I put in a call to Dunkel to ask if he, by any chance, wanted us to bring something along for him as we’d been invited to his place for drinks after we’d eaten.
It was at this time, I realized just how drunk Dunkel and I had gotten over the last couple of hours because when I called him up, he was greatly confused as to why I’d call him at 7 AM and offer him burgers, especially since Chicken & Burger (the place we were at) didn’t open till 11. When I tried to tell the fair Dunkel that the time was currently 7 PM, not AM, a long discussion ensued with Dunkel arguing that since it was daylight when he left the Uboat, it must’ve been in the AM.. The concept of him leaving the Uboat before dusk was seemingly unfathomable to him. When my logic finally triumphed, I picked up an order for him and we then headed off to Dunkel’s to chill for a while.
As we arrived, the bad effects of alcohol on people on a Thursday afternoon became even more apparent. We were greeted by Dunkel, Anne and Robert who were sitting around watching some obscure Danish comedy. Not long after we arrived, Louise caved in and went to sleep on Dunkel’s bed for a while. I, in return, spent half a bottle of vodka mixing two drinks for Dunkel and I. Robert and Anne joined for a drink after which Robert resigned. Anne, Dunkel and I, then sat around for a while longer getting completely sloshed and singing along to various punk pieces. And then, before we even knew it, it was over.. Dunkel was weary, Anne had gone home and I was staggering myself.
So I gathered my belongings and Louise and together we staggered off home to pass out after a job well done.. And to prepare for the pub crawl to end all pub crawls..

Nice! I miss the good old Uboat times we used to sped together…. But you can’t just end the rant there – what about the pub crawl and the summer party on Friday?!

hmmm apparently I can’t spell anymore (spend not sped)

While you’re at it, are you sure you didn’t mean to say spent, not spend?
Ah, but that’s okay, I never could spell for the life of me and Louise is quite often on my back about grammar and/or semantic issues, as well, so I’m just giving you a hard time
And I know I’m not done, I just sorta ran out of time.. I’ll get back to it, I promise, just a little too worn out and not in a mood to update right now.. Sorry! :/ I’ll try to do it no later than tomorrow, promise!

Haha.. Sorry.. You know I’m not one to talk about tired screw-ups

Yeah
Hmm think that if someone from “the outside” read these rantings between the two of us, the person would actually think we’re bickering and stuff
