I seemingly attract celebrities by the name of Jamie Oliver (?)

As at least some of you will know, I’m a pretty avid Twitter user. (If you had no idea, and if, for whatever reason, you’re interested, you can check out my tweets here). That being said, I’m not gonna lie to you, seeing this first thing in the morning a few days ago felt pretty f’ing cool

Well, the foodie in me was a little giddy anways, to say the least.. So thanks to Jamie Oliver for being cool and appreciating my effort to help spread his good word.

“Uh-huh, Johan,” I hear you saying, “that’s pretty cool, but a lot of people have bumped heads with a celebrity chef by the name of Jamie Oliver..”

“Indeed,” I’d say, but how many of them have bumped heads with a celebrity chef named Jamie Oliver AND a rock star named Jamie Oliver?! Submitted for your approval, a picture of Mr Jamie Oliver of LostProphets fame who we ran into during a Simple Plan performance at Rock Im Park 2008 and who insisted to have his picture taken with us:

At least that’s sorta how I remember the story, I gotta admit that I’d had a few beers, it was 32C in the shade and we’d just finished jumping around center stage and shouting along to Last Train.. Either way, look.. It’s Johan and Celebrity Jamie Oliver #2.. A growing trend, I should say!

Where exactly am I going with this? I’m not too certain, but I only just realized that I’ve now bumped heads with two famous people by the name of Jamie Oliver which is kinda weird.. Even if I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by something like this happening after that one time where I got Michael Jackson’s autograph AND kicked Ben Affleck in the shin on the very same trip.. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll go searching for more people named Jamie Oliver to bump into, virtually or at a rock show..

  1. If you feel inspired by Jamie’s campaign, he has created an online petition, promoting healthy food for children, that he will present to the White House. You can find the petition here:
    http://www.jamiesfoodrevolution.com/petition. Pass it along!

  2. Thanks for sharing, Jessica 🙂

I have, in fact, both signed and passed on the petition, but you’re right the link belongs in this context as well.

I actually have a whole post on Jamie’s Food Revolution brewing in the mix of half-finished posts I’m too feverishly busy to finish. But till I get a little free time to finish that, I encourage everybody to check out Jessica’s link.. It’s pretty shocking and pretty important stuff.
