Woo! I can't believe it. Spring has come to Denmark.. Finally! Or actually, you could almost summer by Danish standards, and I'm loving it! 🙂
It all actually kicked off in a not too great way. I spend most of yesterday locked up inside, working on a project for my EU studies class. A project that I'd ended up doing alone despite it being a group project, but enough about that. So yea, anyways, sitting inside the school library and sipping coffee and listening to Slayer's newest album while watching everybody chilling in the sun outside really does help put you in a foul mood, so much that by the time I walked home at around 5 PM, I found myself almost singing along to the chorus of Disciple (which by the way, does earn you a few strange looks) And then something happened..
The song switched and Deftones' "My Own Summer" came on. I dunno why, but this song always spelled "Summer time!" to me and has always helped pick up my mood. So yea, I started looking around, noticed the nice weather (and the scantly clad hot chicks that it never fails to draw forth) and all the smiling people around me.. And suddnely things didn't seem that bad after all. Actually, had you handed me a nice, frosty beer, I could've probably died happily on the spot! 😉
As a result, I'm in a super good mood today, despite having to suffer through late afternoon classes, work till midnight and what not. Because, heck, once I'm off work, it's weeeeeeeeeeekend! And not only that, today is pretty much the last day of our spring term, meaning I'll only have to suffer through two exams and then it'll be summer holiday for a few months.. I'm totally stoked!
Now to find out what the weekend will bring. Should be a quiet one for me this time as I'll be heading off on Saturday to visit my Dad and his family. I'm sure Dunkel, Penny and others will be upset that I don't have time to party with them on Saturday evening, but hey.. I'm sorry, guys, I don't see my family nearly as much as they'd like me to, so this just has to be done 🙂 .. Plus, my liver will probably thank me on Sunday!
